(03) Services
Mobile BBQ catering, built to scale.
Wood-fired, wedding-grade catering across Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and the Colorado Front Range. From 40-guest rehearsal dinners to 500-person corporate galas — every service is modular and built around your venue, headcount, and timeline.
(A) The Cedar Standard
Competition-grade smoke. Wedding-grade hospitality.
Cedar BBQ is a full-service mobile catering company based in Longmont, Colorado. We bring real wood-fired barbecue — 16-hour brisket, pepper-crusted beef ribs, reverse-seared prime rib — to weddings, corporate events, and private parties across the entire Front Range.
Every event is staffed by a pitmaster-led team in clean uniforms, served from our handcrafted cedar station, and supported by a logistics crew that's executed 600+ events. No paper plates dressed up. No mystery sauces. Just serious food, served beautifully, at scale.
Whether you need a single live-fire carving station for cocktail hour or a full multi-station experience for 400 guests, we'll build the package around your venue, your headcount, and the way you want the night to feel.

(B) Service Menu
Nine ways to serve.
Mix and match. Most weddings combine 3–4 of these. Corporate events typically run 1–2.
On-Site Mobile Smoker
Our custom 1,000-gallon offset pit travels to your venue. Live oak and hickory smoke on-site for unmistakable aroma, presentation, and flavor your guests can watch happen.
Branded Cedar Station
A handcrafted wooden service bar, customizable with your monogram, wedding hashtag, or company logo. The centerpiece of every Cedar event.
Live-Fire Carving
Chef-led carving stations for whole brisket, reverse-seared prime rib, tomahawk steaks, and whole-roasted pork shoulder. Theater you can taste.
BBQ Buffet Service
Modular self-serve setups designed for high-volume elegance. Polished chafers, cedar accents, and uniformed attendants — never paper trays.
Plated Dinner Service
Coursed plated dinners that bring competition-grade BBQ technique into fine-dining contexts. Linen, china, full FOH staffing.
Late-Night Bites
Brisket sliders, smoked queso fundido, burnt-end tacos, and passed plates after dinner. Keep the party going past midnight.
Cocktail Hour Stations
Smoked-meat charcuterie boards, mini brisket grilled cheese, deviled eggs with burnt-end jam. Heavy passed apps that punch above their weight.
Family-Style Service
Cedar platters dropped at every table for guests to share. Wedding-grade hospitality with a warm, communal feel.
Drop-Off Catering
For corporate lunches and casual gatherings under 50. Hot, packaged, on time — with the same Cedar smoke quality.

(F) Reviews
4.9 stars across 184 reviews.
"Cedar was the highlight of our wedding weekend. The brisket was unreal, the carving station had our guests mesmerized, and the team was so calm and professional that our planner is already recommending them to other couples."
"We've booked Cedar three years running for our 400-person company party. Zero complaints, every single time. Logistics are bulletproof, the food is genuinely the best part of the day, and they treat our team like family."
"The reverse-seared prime rib carving station during cocktail hour was a showstopper. Our planner said it was the single best catering decision we made — guests are still texting us about it six months later."
"Cedar handled our 300-person holiday party at the last minute when our original caterer fell through. They turned around a custom menu in 48 hours and absolutely crushed it. Saved our event."
"We did the family-style service and it set the entire tone of the reception — warm, generous, communal. The smoked turkey breast was a quiet star alongside the brisket. Worth every penny."
"We needed to feed 500 conference attendees in a 90-minute lunch window with a plated option for VIPs. Cedar handled both seamlessly. Professional, organized, and the food held up beautifully over the service window."

(H) FAQ
Questions, answered.
- What areas do you serve?
- Cedar BBQ caters weddings and corporate events across the Colorado Front Range — Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Fort Collins, Loveland, Estes Park, Castle Rock, and surrounding mountain venues. Travel fees apply outside a 50-mile radius from Longmont.
- How many guests can you accommodate?
- Our standard sweet spot is 75–350 guests, but we've successfully catered events from 40-person rehearsal dinners up to 600-person corporate galas. Get in touch to talk through your headcount.
- Do you cook on-site or off-site?
- Both. Most events feature our mobile smoker on-site for the wood-fired theater. For venues without space, we cook in our Longmont kitchen and transport in heated holding boxes — quality is identical.
- What's included in the per-guest price?
- Food, service staff, setup, breakdown, disposables (or rentals on request), serving equipment, and the branded Cedar station. Travel and rentals are itemized separately.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Peak wedding dates (May–October Saturdays) book 9–14 months out. Corporate and weekday events typically need 4–8 weeks of lead time.
- Do you handle dietary restrictions?
- Always. We offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, and we'll work directly with your guest list for individual restrictions or allergies.
- Can I do a tasting before booking?
- Yes — book a free tasting at our Longmont kitchen. Taste our core menu, meet the pitmaster, and walk through your event vision.
